MEDICAL Power Isolation Units

Plitron Medical Power Isolation Units (PIUs) combine highly efficient toroidal isolation transformers, series-mode surge suppression, and certification to international safety standards IEC/CSA/UL 60601-1, to provide the ultimate in power line protection and low-leakage current.

Plitron Medical PIUs use patented series-mode surge removal filters to absorb dangerous voltage surges up to 6000 volts and safely dissipate them without using failure-prone MOVs (metal oxide varistors). Surges are fed onto the line, not shunted to ground, ensuring the line remains clean of contamination.

Plitron Medical PIUs are available in power ranges of 300, 600, 900, 1200, 1800 and 2400VA in both North American (120V) or Universal (100-120-230/240V) operations.

Attractive and rugged metal cases house the units.
